Hello, thank you for reaching out to Microsoft Q&A.

    1. Is the affected email address for a personal Microsoft account (e.g., ending in @outlook.com, @hotmail.com, @gmail.com that you created for services like Skype or Xbox) or a work/school account provided by an organization (e.g., ******@company.com)?
    2. What exact error message does the sender receive when they try to email your account?

Please send a test email from one of your Microsoft accounts to the affected email address. If you receive a bounce-back error message, please share it with us here for reference. it would be better if you attach a screenshot of the error as well.

    Hi Wendy Caron

Based on your description, Outlook is currently showing only messages in the Trash/Deleted Items folder, and new emails are not appearing in the Inbox. This can sometimes occur if the current folder view is filtered, the account has not synchronized correctly, or messages are being moved to another folder automatically.

To better understand your situation, could you please share some information:

    • Are you using an Outlook.com account, a Microsoft 365 account, or a third-party email account (such as Gmail, Yahoo, or EarthLink)?
    • Does the issue occur in the Outlook app, Outlook on the web, or both?
    • When you sign in to Outlook on the web and check your Inbox, Junk Email, Archive, and Deleted Items folders, do you see any new messages there?
    • Do new emails appear in the Deleted Items/Trash folder, or are no new emails arriving at all?
    • Have you reviewed any inbox rules or filters that might be automatically moving messages to another folder?
    • Did the issue begin after installing, updating, or switching to the new Outlook?

I look forward to your response.
